Career

After passing out from college, Dave Whipple started working as a concrete tradesman, and cement finisher. Not only this, but Dave also worked as a cement contractor and was engaged in the foundation and slabs. Apart from this, Dave has also flipped several musical instruments. From the initial stage of his career, he was engaged in creating homes and cabins.

Well, in 1999 he worked as a caretaker at the Starrigavan Campground in Sitka, Alaska. Later he worked as a Remote Caretaker of a remote homestead on the Aleutian Islands in Alaska for around seven months. After that in 2000, Dave and Brooke got the opportunity to work at the log raft, which was the 40 by 70-foot long log raft at Yukon river operated by Neil Eklund.

After that, in 2001, when Dave was working at cement finisher in Fairbanks, Alaska, and Brooke working as a Recreation Director at Chena Hot Springs Resort in Fairbanks, together created a cabin outside of Fairbanks, Alaska, on their two acres of property. The cabin was around 12ft x 12ft and they created it with timber logs.

Dave and Brooke created the cabin in a time period of around three months and the total cost of making a cabin and land was around $7,970. They lived there for around 2.5 years. After they purchased several lands and created off-grid cabins and homes.

In 2016, Dave and Brooke together participated in the tv series namely “Alone” in season 4 aired on the History television network. They have to survive in the wild and they lasted for around 49 days but they didn’t win, however, both Dave and Brooke played very well.

On 27 Jan 2017, Brooke created a Youtube channel namely Bushradical and started uploading his vlog videos related to making off grid cabins, homes, and videos related to living in wild.
